Mingzhe Hao is a 2nd-year PhD student at Department of Computer Science at University of Chicago. He works with Prof. Haryadi Gunawi in UCARE group. He got his bachelor degree in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2012, and Master Degree from the University of Chicago at 2013. His recent work is about identifying performance variety and vulnerability in large scale storage systems and distributed systems. Now he is trying to make these performance problems transparent for applications so they can customize their own tail solutions, as current tail tolerant mechanisms usually can not fit in all scenarios.
