Prof. Rebecca Willett from the Department of Computer Science has been awarded the inaugural SIAG DATA Career prize.

The SIAM Activity Group on Data Science Career Prize (SIAG/DATA Career Prize) is awarded every two years to an outstanding senior researcher who has made broad and influential contributions to the Mathematical, Statistical or Computational foundations of Data Science. The prize recognizes a research career in the Mathematics of Data Science at the highest level of achievement.

The prize will be awarded at the 2024 SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Data Science (MDS24) to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States from October 21 – 25, 2024.
