I am Ph.D. student in Computer Science interested in high-performance computing and machine learning systems. I am a member of Globus Labs where I am co-advised by Ian Foster and Kyle Chard. I previously completed my Bachelors in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. During my undergraduate studies, I did research at the Texas Advanced Computing Center for the Scalable Computation Intelligence group with Zhao Zhang. I have also interned at Apple and Google.

I am interested in building systems which enable large-scale science and machine learning application on high-performance computing systems. My current research approaches these challenges from two aspects: efficient large scale machine learning (ML) training using second-order optimization and data fabrics that support distributed and federated scientific applications.
