Kathryn Wozniak’s research and industry experience lie at the intersection of human-computer interaction, design, and learning. Her research focuses on adult learners, their unique needs and behaviors compared to younger learners, and the design features and affordances that support them in a virtual learning environment. Kathryn’s clients have included Big 5 Tech, international non-profits, and start-ups in her hometown of Chicago, where she has been teaching college courses in HCI, digital media, and writing since 2009. She received her PhD in Computing and Information Sciences from DePaul University and is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Concordia University Chicago.
