The Masters Program in Computer Science (MPCS) at the University of Chicago offers a MS in CS degree that can be completed in one academic year. The MPCS is comprehensive and professionally-oriented. It combines the foundations of computer science with the applied and in-demand skills necessary for technology careers. The MPCS is designed for students looking to work in the technology field and interested in careers in Data Analytics, High Performance Computing, Information Security, Mobile Computing and Software Engineering. Core classes begin in the Autumn quarter. Introduction to programming and math for Computer Science classes are offered in the Autumn quarter, if needed
